Amazing!  You’ve got to see this.  The use of a fog machine, and the music, minus the fire = smokin’ cool pressure testing!  This is a very interesting modification to the fire based unit.  It would be interesting to see this one hooked up to a signal generator!

Here is a couple of ambitious young men who really jumped in with both feet.  I compliment them on their industrial ingenuity and desire to get something built and test it!  Theses guys are go getters!

Also I must note, however that in their excitement, they failed to properly clear the area around the experiment of debris and flammable items.  Where is that fire extinguisher anyway??

See what they did here:  http://www.odbo.info/wp/index.php/2006/12/02/rubens-tube-project/

Remember to use caution and keep a fire extinguisher nearby!

We see here yet another outstanding demonstration using a signal generator.

Notice how the flames, even though clearly sculpted into a waveform,

continue to dance and oscillate at the peak of the waves, where the flame

is making a transition into tertiary air, in the yellow feather tips.

Amazing! Watch the frequency generator shape the fire!!!

These guys made a killer unit.  Interesting looks like they

are working in a trailer?

Notice the frequency generator is very effective!

Notice on this demonstration, the excellent use of bass.  The pressure

sound differential in the low frequencies, produce big variations

in flame height as seen in this video….

Found this China Mfg which produces cool effects using their colored

flame additives, controllers and also using lp gas ( propane).  Unlike

many manufacturers, these guys have videos right on their website!

You can see the units work…  Now where’s my credit card anyway…

lol

Imagine these as a rubens tube? WHAT!

Hey guys, i just found a really cool site that has all kinds of cool stuff!

They have colored lamps, colored tiki torches, and huge bright colored

pyro flames that shoot skyward!  I’m afraid if I look around  too much I’ll

be ordering all kinds of toys!

just look at the slide show on the home page!!!

Lighter, anyone?

Please bookmark the site listed below, as they have a whole host of

propane related safety information.  This is an area often overlooked

in the excitement to try something new!

Fueling up for a rubens tube burn?

Could this be applied to propane?  The experiments in the videos below

show the use of various salts, minerals, alcohols etc to create colored

flame effects.

Verrrry interesting eh?

We will certainly be keeping an eye on this area of development!
